Magical Manlove Dancers

Magical Manlove Dancers was a Global Game Jam 2024 project where we combined the theme "Make Me Laugh" together with a randomized game title. 

The game features two rival dance groups facing off on the dancefloor for the coveted title of "Magical Manlove Dancer". Dance til you drop in this game of squeezing your dancers on the dancefloor while avoiding colliding with other dancers.

Setup

1. Players each get 3x Score Tokens and 8x Dancer Cards.
2. Score tokens can be anything (eg. coins, beads, etc)
3. The Dance Floor is placed in front of the players.

Winning Condition

1. Eliminate rivals when they lose all their points or
2. Have the highest score when the endgame is triggered.

Players take turns to throw a Dancer Card onto the Dance floor;

• Depending on where they land, you score +1/2/3pts
• This depends on which tile the Dancer is covering the most.
• If your Dancer overlaps with another Dancer, -1 pt

• If your Dancer completely falls outside the Dance Floor -2pts
• If you Dancer partially falls outside the Dance Floor -1pt
• If your Dancer falls Face Down -1pt

If your dancer overlaps with 3 other dancers, you lose -3pts and remove all 4 Dancer cards. Dancers are given out evenly between the two players.

If any player finishes all 8 of their Dancer Cards, +3pts, the game stops and the total Score is calculated.
